2004 marks the
25th Anniversary of Conservation Field Days in Winnebago County.
This information and education event began in 1979 and has been a strong
program ever since.
To help
recognize the 25th Anniversary, LCC Chair Nancy Barker and LCC member
Steve Rankin attended the opening day and traveled with the children to
each of the 4 learning stations: Water Quality, Soils, Wildlife and
Forestry.
Over 12,000
4th grade children from the Neenah Public and Parochial, and Menasha
Parochial Schools have participated this event.
The children
learn about forestry, wildlife, soils and water quality. Several
agencies participate in the event including Winnebago County Land &
Water Conservation, UW-Extension, NRCS, and DNR.
